Santa Margarita Girls’ Soccer Coach Quits

Gene West, girls’ soccer coach at Santa Margarita High School, has resigned, according to Doug Williams, the girls’ athletic director.
West, a part-time coach the past two seasons, has left to pursue his teaching credential. Santa Margarita finished third in the Angelus League last season and was eliminated in the first round of the Southern Section playoffs.
