Utah Jazz Coach Jerry Sloan has closed practices before Friday night’s first-round NBA playoff opener against the Clippers. Sloan made the decision at the end of a two-hour practice at Westminster College, where several television crews joined sportswriters on the sidelines of the tiny gymnasium.
It was believed to be the first time Sloan has closed a practice in his four seasons as coach, a team official said.
