City recreation and park commissioners have renamed a West Hills soccer field to honor the 15-year-old Woodland Hills boy who was swept into the Los Angeles River and drowned during a rainstorm Feb. 12 as thousands of anxious viewers watched rescue efforts on television.
The Adam Bischoff Memorial Soccer Field is located at the West Hills Recreation Center, Valley Circle Boulevard and Cynwood Road. A sign will be erected at the site.
Bischoff attended El Camino Real High School and was an accomplished soccer player who often played at the West Hills field, city officials said Thursday.
