South Pasadena : City Offers Tours of Planned 710 Link
- Share via
In an effort to fuel opposition to the Long Beach (710) Freeway extension through South Pasadena, the City Council has agreed to sponsor public bus tours along the proposed Meridian Avenue right of way.
The tours will be held Sunday afternoons on dates to be determined.
Members of the City Council and Transportation Commission will act as tour guides, describing in detail how the city will be affected if the freeway connector is approved.
“This will show people in more visible ways what the effect of the freeway extension would be,” Councilman James C. Hodge Jr. said.
Funding for the tours will come from Proposition A mass-transit money.
