President Bush on the Rioting
All the proposed programs by the President for blacks are good and well. If they ever come to fruition. However, being an educated black female working in corporate America for 27-plus years, I would like to see some programs to educate white America about minority oppression and police brutality toward minorities. Maybe if white America had been more educated, justice would have been served in the Rodney King and Latasha Harlins incidents as well as in the Martin Luther King era. Further, maybe if the police were compelled to become educated in this area, they would stop harassing our young men just because they are minorities.
My vote is to educate everyone because ignorance has and does prevail . . . amazingly . . . in 1992.
