Aerojet Electronic Systems Division of Azusa has been awarded a $1-million contract from NASA to develop a preliminary design of a microwave temperature sounder instrument for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
The instrument will be used to predict the weather and long-term climate changes.
Aerojet develops and manufactures advanced sensor systems for air and space surveillance, defense and environmental programs, and warheads and smart sensors for munitions.
