Three Forums for Candidates Set

Political Forums--The Pasadena Area League of Women Voters will sponsor a forum for candidates in the county’s 5th Supervisorial District at 6:45 p.m. Monday in the Donald Wright Auditorium at Pasadena Central Library, 285 E. Walnut St . . . The South Pasadena Democratic Club will hear from Democratic candidates in the state’s 21st Senate District and 44th Assembly District at a meeting at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the home of Lynda Bybee and Court Dane, 1037 Garfield Ave., South Pasadena . . . The Altadena Town Council and Chamber of Commerce will sponsor a forum for 44th Assembly District candidates at 7 p.m. May 27 at the Altadena Senior Center, 560 E. Mariposa St., Altadena.

Fund-Raisers--An event to raise money for former Gov. Edmund G. Brown Jr.’s presidential campaign will feature musical entertainment and talks by congressional candidates at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Unitarian Neighborhood Church, 301 N. Orange Grove Blvd., Pasadena. Admission is $25 . . . In the 57th Assembly District, there are fund-raisers from 2 to 6 p.m. today at 15112 Nubia St., Baldwin Park, for Democrat Anthony Fellow and from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday at Pepe’s Restaurant, 11740 Valley Blvd., El Monte, for Republican Mike Stark.
