The City Council on Tuesday appointed the final three members to a nonprofit board charged with renovating and operating the Alex Theatre as a performing arts center.
Named were film distributor Richard W. Cook, investment counselor Mary Hamilton and mortgage banker Angelo R. Mozilo.
The three join six other members appointed in December. The chairman is Laurence R. Clarke, an attorney who was chairman of a city-appointed task force last year that developed plans to purchase and convert the historic movie house, built in 1925.
The city has an agreement with Mann Theatres to purchase the movie house, at 216 N. Brand Blvd., and expects to finalize conversion plans next month, officials said.
