Track honors: Sprinters Anthoni Davis of Santa Ana Valley and Aaron Taub of Foothill were named the Century League’s most valuable boys’ track and field athletes in a vote of league coaches. Distance runner Kristina Dahlberg of El Modena was named the league’s most valuable girls’ athlete.
Most valuable field event athletes were pole vaulter Gary Van Sluis of El Modena and long jumper/triple jumper Tracy Thomas of Santa Ana Valley.
Most valuable distance runners were Jaime Martinez of Orange and Kim Nelson of Canyon.
Most valuable girls’ sprinters were Katie Mook of Foothill and Meghan Reppe of Villa Park.
George Payan of Santa Ana Valley was boys’ coach of the year. Mike Sayward of Canyon and Jerry Whitaker of Foothill were girls’ coaches of the year.
