United Savings Bank will sponsor educational seminars designed to help low- and moderate-income families buy homes.
Attendance at one of the seminars, which cover such aspects of home ownership as budgeting and obtaining a mortgage, is a requirement of qualifying for a bank program of loans with 5% down, eased credit requirements and reduced closing costs.
The cost of the Saturday seminars, held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., is $7. Here are dates and locations:
* Saturday, June 13 and June 27 at Lincoln Title Building, 101 E. Glenoaks Blvd., Glendale.
* June 6 at the Pasadena Board of Realtors, 656 N. Los Robles Ave.
* In Spanish, June 20 at the Ramada Inn, Santa Anita Avenue and the Pomona (60) Freeway, El Monte.
