BUSH BACKERS: Despite his billionaire status, Perot does not hide his disgust for his brethren in big business, and a recent sampling of the nation’s top chief executives by Fortune magazine found that the feeling may be mutual. The results showed 78% backing Bush in the presidential race, 11% for Perot and 4% for Clinton, with the remaining 7% undecided. . . . “I don’t think his slam-bang style would serve the country well from the President’s office,” Edward B. Brandon, chairman of National City Corp. of Ohio, was quoted as saying. “He would make a super benevolent dictator, but that’s not our system.” A total of 115 CEOs responded to the poll.
