The sixth annual Golden State Sculptures Assn. juried sculpture show will be held June 20 and 21 at the Peter Strauss Ranch on Mulholland Highway, according to officials with the National Park Service.
The free outdoor exhibit, which will continue both days from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m., is a cooperative effort of the association and the Park Service, which operates the ranch as part of the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area.
Awards of $1,000 cash and merchandise will be presented to winning artists in six categories at 5:30 p.m. June 20. Park Service officials are encouraging visitors to bring a picnic lunch and a blanket to sit on, and to hike the shaded half-mile Peter Strauss Trail.
From the Kanan Road exit of the Ventura Freeway, the ranch can be reached by driving south on Kanan Road to Troutdale Road and turning left on Mulholland Highway.
