Investors Cut Stakes: Two investors in First American Financial Corp., the Santa Ana holding company for the nation’s second-largest title insurer, cut their stakes by about 1%, according to a filing at the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The Mutual Life Assurance Company of Canada and Mu-Cana Investment Counselling Ltd. together now hold 4.13%, or 174,700 common shares, of First American.
The SEC filing showed that the two companies sold 31,000 shares between Feb. 21 and April 30 for $15.25 to $17.50 each, for an estimated value of $500,000.
