A Day Out West
It’s going to be a pretty busy weekend in the Santa Monica Mountains. While the sculptors do their thing, folks at the Paramount Ranch will be doing something entirely different during Saturday’s “Western Day at Paramount Ranch.”
There will be country-Western music, American Indian dances, horse shows, wagon rides, horse care demonstrations, a cavalry show and a gunfight simulation. There will be cameo appearances by television and movie actors as well, including Eric Estrada and Larry Wilcox (from the TV series “CHIPS”), Lee Aaker (from the “Rin Tin Tin” series) and Jerry Mathers (from, of course, “Leave it to Beaver.”)
Attempting to appeal to all the senses, the day will also include a Western-style barbecue. The action will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free. The ranch is off Cornell Road in Agoura Hills. For more information, call (818) 597-9192.
