Headline News: Ted Turner has been named recipient of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences’ governors award. The president of the Turner Broadcasting System will be recognized for his contribution to the TV industry at the 44th Annual PrimeTime Emmy Awards on Aug. 30. The awards ceremony, which will air on Fox, will be held at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium.
