We are witnessing the return of the Daffiness Boys. The big difference is that the originals were amusing. The present bunch are boors, surly boors, rich surly boors. The old guys could and did laugh at themselves. Unfortunately our present Bums are too rich. They are not amused. Maybe the fans will stop being amused and try another form of entertainment.

The cry used to be “Wait till next year.” If the Dodgers keep it up, maybe next year won’t come.
