FOR SOME EYES ONLY: Here’s an odd twist in the investigation swirling about the Administration’s prewar Iraq policy. . . . The White House has obediently turned over some of the records sought by the House Judiciary Committee, but Democratic staffers can’t read the best ones. That’s because committee Chairman Jack Brooks (D-Tex.) objects to the legislative branch being investigated by the executive so he won’t allow his staffers to undergo security clearance background checks. . . . The result: Democratic staffers can’t examine the classified material.
