An unidentified man’s badly decomposed body was found by a hiker in a dry riverbed in Big Tujunga Canyon, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said Sunday.
The body was found about 2:40 p.m. Saturday about 300 yards east of a bridge in Big Tujunga Canyon in Angeles National Forest, said Deputy Diane Hecht.
The man, who had been dead for five to seven days, apparently was killed by a gunshot wound, said Hecht, adding that detectives had no other information on the case.
