CROWN POINT, Ind. — A man arrested for allegedly breaking into a woman’s house to tickle her feet has been ordered to undergo a psychological examination.
James W. Buff, 50, pleaded not guilty Thursday to battery, criminal trespassing and resisting law enforcement. He was arrested Sunday near the home of Velda Poer, 76, of Cedar Lake.
Poer told investigators that she awoke and found Buff tickling her feet. Buff reportedly ran outside and Poer called a neighbor, who found him standing behind the house, authorities said.
