Controversy Over Status of Immigrant Drywall Workers in Strike

Regarding the article on the closing of the orthopedic unit at CHOC (“Citing Overload, CHOC Closes Orthopedic Unit,” July 4) and the article next to it on Page 1 stating that 88 of the arrested strikers face deportation (“88 of Arrested Strikers Face Deportation”). Can there be any correlation between the two articles? I think so.
When are we going to wake up and say, no more! There isn’t any money. The days of high living and opulent society are gone. This trickles down to the lowest rung on the ladder.
Soon the middle class that foots the bill for all the freebies will be gone and we will be joining the group of indigents.
