*OUTLOOK
Another team that had success a year ago, reaching the quarterfinals of the Southern Section Division VI playoffs, and another team that has a lot of holes to fill. Gone is quarterback Mike Ofer. Gone are running backs Brandon Finney, a 1,000-yard rusher, and Tony Mancuso, his blocker. Gone is almost the entire offensive line. “Yeah, we’re pretty young and inexperienced,” Brinkley said. “We’re going to have to wait and see.” Tift and Williams are competing for the quarterback spot. Williams was erratic when he filled in for Ofer last season. Tift is an unknown, having played defensive back a year ago. The line will depend heavily on Ralphs’ experience. On defense, things look a little better. Especially up front with Bloomberg, Sanita and Ketcham. The secondary returns almost intact. “They’ve played side-by-side for a couple years,” Brinkley said.
