Russian recruit Alexei Zhamnov has filed suit against the Winnipeg Jets, asking damages after his recently signed contract for $1.25 million over three years was surpassed by that of Finnish prospect Teemu Selanne, who signed with the Jets for a reported $2.7 million, including a $1.5 million bonus.
