Charles L. Hudson; Ex-AMA President Warned of Smoking Danger

Charles L. Hudson, 88, a doctor who was president of the American Medical Assn. from 1966 to 1967. Hudson was among the AMA trustees who first warned in 1964 that cigarette smoking was a health hazard. As president of the organization, he criticized Medicare as unnecessary and said it would lead to socialized medicine. On Aug. 30 in Aurora, Ohio.
