Tornado Wrecks 2 Homes on Wichita’s East Side

WICHITA, Kan. — A tornado touched down Saturday night on the city’s east side, destroying two homes and ripping roofs off some buildings, authorities said. Two people suffered minor injuries.
Another tornado struck southwest of the city, and one also was reported near a town outside Topeka, National Weather Service officials said. There were no reports of damage or injuries from the other tornadoes.
