Royal 24, Santa Paula 0--Mike Streeter rushed for 162 yards in 21 carries and the Highlanders scored 21 points in the second half at Santa Paula. Mike Reddington opened the second half with a 17-yard touchdown run, and Streeter scored from 30 yards to cap a 14-point third quarter. Reddington finished with 63 yards.

Royal fullback Alie Maldonado scored on a three-yard touchdown run with 7:28 left.

Royal defensive back Derek Newcomb picked off a pass by Brian Whittaker on the third play of the game. Streeter then set up a 31-yard field goal by Brad Cavner with runs of 14, 12, and 15 yards to give Royal a 3-0 first-half lead.
