Compton : ‘I Love Compton’ Breakfast to Honor Dymally and Hahn
- Share via
The first “I Love Compton” breakfast will be Saturday at the city’s Ramada hotel and will honor two retiring politicians: Rep. Mervyn M. Dymally (D-Compton) and County Supervisor Kenneth Hahn.
The breakfast is sponsored by the Compton Community Development Assn., which was founded after last spring’s riots to aid the city’s rebuilding efforts. The new association will also use the breakfast to launch its membership drive.
Compton Mayor Walter R. Tucker III, who outpolled Dymally’s daughter, Lynn, in the Democratic primary for Dymally’s seat in Congress, will be the keynote speaker.
