WESTLAKE VILLAGE : Rally to Aid Owners Of Torched Store

A rally will be held at a Westlake Village church Sunday to benefit the owners of a comic book store that was torched and defaced with anti-Semitic graffiti last week.
The rally, organized by the Costa Mesa-based Shalom International, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Calvary Community Church, 31293 Via Colinas.
Myron and Judith Cohen-Ross’s Heroes and Legends comic book store was destroyed last Friday in a pre-dawn attack. Vandals scrawled swastikas, “SS” and the words “Die Jew” on the building before setting the store, located on Thousand Oaks Boulevard, on fire.
Sunday’s speakers will include Calvary pastor Larry DeWitt, Shalom International President Frank Eiklor and Thousand Oaks city officials, organizer Randy Senzig said.
The event is intended to raise money to help the Cohen-Rosses reopen their store.
Volunteers also want to establish a reward for information leading to the arrest of those responsible for the crime.
