Heineken Shareholder Not Interested in Selling: The former chairman of Heineken said his stake of over 50% in Europe’s biggest brewer is not for sale. Freddie Heineken was responding to press reports that Philip Morris Cos., owner of the No. 2 U.S. brewer Miller Brewing Co., is interested in acquiring the Dutch concern. “I’ve never thought for one minute about selling my shares,” the Dutch newspaper Het Financieele Dagblad quoted him as saying. “I know the people at Philip Morris well. We’ve been friends for years. But we have never once spoken about them acquiring my shares.” In a recent interview with the German magazine Witschaftswoche, Philip Morris’s chief financial officer, Hans Storr, expressed interest in taking over Heineken.
