Sylmar 40, Monroe 14--Tyrone Crenshaw rushed for 189 yards and three touchdowns in 24 carries to lead the host Spartans (5-0, 3-0). Crenshaw had touchdown runs of eight and 17 yards, giving Sylmar a 13-0 halftime lead. He added another three-yard scoring run.
Sylmar’s Ibn Bilal rushed for 102 yards in only four carries, including touchdown sprints of 34 and 49 yards.
Monroe (1-5, 0-3) quarterback Arthur Ghazarian completed 18 of 29 passes for 158 yards and two touchdowns.
