EIGHT-MAN FOOTBALL ROUNDUP : Slipakoff Sets School Records in Claremont Victory

Junior Bram Slipakoff rushed for 487 yards as Claremont beat Pioneer Baptist, 74-56, in an Express League eight-man football game Saturday at Whittier Christian High School in La Habra.
Slipakoff, who is 5 feet 6 and 160 pounds, carried 40 times, scored seven touchdowns and a two-point conversion to finish with 44 points. He also had an outstanding day on defense from his linebacker position, where he was in on 15 tackles and recovered a fumble.
Slipakoff’s touchdowns, carries and yardage are all school records, but the Southern Section publishes no eight-man records.
Quarterback Danny Hunt was 13 of 24 for 134 yards and four touchdowns. Claremont (2-2, 1-1) finished with 667 yards in total offense.
Claremont led, 26-24, at the end of the first quarter and, 56-44, at halftime.
In the Academy League:
Liberty Christian 36, St. Margaret’s 20--Quarterback Carl Warmack ran for two touchdowns and passed for a third to lead host Liberty Christian (5-0, 2-0) past St. Margaret’s (0-5, 0-1). Gabe Baltodano had 119 rushing yards for Liberty Christian.
