A Northridge man died early Sunday morning of multiple stab wounds as a result of a gang-related altercation in Chatsworth, Los Angeles police said.
Gabriel A. Ledezma-Pinto, 23, argued with an unknown male late Saturday night on Corbin Avenue, north of Rinaldi Street, in the presence of an undetermined number of people believed to be gang members, said Sgt. Jim Darling of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Devonshire Division.
A fight ensued, and Ledezma-Pinto was stabbed repeatedly in his upper body, Darling said. Friends took him to Northridge Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 1:09 a.m, he said.
Homicide investigators who are searching for the assailant do not know what precipitated the argument, Darling said.
