Prudential Insurance Co. of America plans to eliminate 150 jobs at its group insurance division in Woodland Hills through a voluntary early retirement program.
The Newark, N.J.-based insurance giant said the move reflected the weak economy and its need to remain competitive. About 2,000 workers are employed at the Woodland Hills office.
The company said that eligible employees would have until the end of November to decide whether to accept the early retirement package.
