And last season, she was named MVP of the Santa Barbara Tournament of Champions, which features many of the best teams in California.
Schriber won the Santa Barbara MVP award again Sunday, when Golden West took the team title. During two Orange Empire Conference matches and in four games at Santa Barbara, she had 70 kills and 88 digs. Golden West (13-0) and has won 48 matches in a row.
Another top performer:
Irvine Valley’s Nancy Hunsaker, who finished third overall and helped the Lasers to the team title at the Santa Barbara Cross-Country Invitational.
