HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL / SOUTHERN SECTION ROUNDUP : Camarillo Races Past Westlake on Campbell’s Shoulders

Fahali Campbell provided nearly all of Camarillo High’s offense, rushing for 218 yards and three touchdowns in 27 carries to lead the Scorpions to a 28-14 victory over host Westlake on Friday night in a Marmonte League game.
Campbell, a senior, scored on second-quarter runs of one, 85 and 50 yards. On the longest scoring run, he swept right, turned the corner and ran untouched into the end zone. On the 50-yard touchdown run, he broke two tackles at the line and outran the remainder of the defense.
Campbell has rushed for 1,322 yards and 12 touchdowns in 192 carries this season.
Camarillo (5-2, 3-1 in league play) scored its other touchdown on a 13-yard bootleg by quarterback Richard Jaramillo.
Westlake (1-6, 1-3), scored on a 13-yard pass from Kevin Crook to Dan Thompson and on a one-yard run by Jeremy Bunn.
