Poly 40, Monroe 7--The Poly backfield of quarterback Anthony Muse and running backs Ronald Botley and Johnnie Brown rushed for 394 yards and five touchdowns at Monroe (1-5, 0-4).
Botley rushed 19 times for 222 yards and the two touchdowns. Brown added 120 yards in 26 carries, and Muse contributed 52 yards and two scores in eight carries.
The Parrots (5-2, 2-2) scored twice in the final three minutes of the first half on a one-yard run by Brown and a six-yard dash by Muse for a 20-7 halftime lead.
