Coors Challenges Alcohol Content Law: Adolph Coors Co., the nation’s third-largest brewer, is seeking to overthrow a federal law prohibiting it from listing the alcohol content of its beer. Since 1935, brewers have been prohibited from making such a listing in order to avoid strength wars among brewers. But Coors, based in Golden, Colo., said in court that consumers have the right to know how much alcohol is in the beer they buy.
