Taco Bell Drug Wristbands: Speaking of Taco Bell, the Pepsico subsidiary will be handing out red wristbands emblazoned with the slogan “Drug Abuse Is Life Abuse” through Sunday as part of an anti-drug campaign sponsored by the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
Customers will also get a free soft drink with a purchase of $3 or more.
The idea is that kids are supposed to wear the red bands to school to show their peers that they don’t take drugs. “We want to recognize students for their courage and involvement in fighting drug use and encourage them to maintain a drug-free lifestyle,” said Janis Smith, Taco Bell’s public affairs director.
