A free guide of services, programs and organizations offering prevention and treatment of drug abuse is being offered by Glendale Drug Free in observance of national Red Ribbon Week, said Priscilla Mahnken, chairwoman of the local awareness campaign.
Volunteers tied hundreds of ribbons to trees and poles along Brand Boulevard and Central Avenue on Sunday, and thousands of students, teachers, police officers, residents and civic and business leaders are participating in events marking the observance, which continues through Saturday.
Copies of the resource guide and information on programs are available by contacting Glendale Drug Free at (818) 548-3122.
