Camera Platforms Narrows 3rd-Quarter Loss

Camera Platforms International Inc. said its third-quarter losses narrowed from a year earlier with the help of a doubling of its revenue.
The Valencia-based company, which sells and rents production equipment to the television and movie industries, said it lost $116,000 in the quarter that ended Sept. 30, compared to a year-earlier loss of $420,000. Its revenue climbed to $1.37 million from $655,000.
Camera Platforms’ loss for the first nine months of this year totaled $484,000, compared to a year-earlier loss of $1.34 million, and its nine-month revenue rose 70%, to $3.25 million from $1.91 million.
