Stillwell to Compete in Volleyball at UCLA

Tom Stillwell of Notre Dame High, a 6-foot-8 middle blocker, signed a letter of intent Wednesday night to attend UCLA on a volleyball scholarship.

Stillwell, considered by many coaches to be the top prospect in the San Fernando Valley, had narrowed his choices to UCLA and Cal State Northridge. Northridge signed 6-6 outside hitter Mike Lees of Crespi over the weekend.

Last season, Stillwell helped Notre Dame to earn a share of the Mission League championship with a 16-2 record and advance to the Southern Section 3-A Division quarterfinals.
