Endorsement by Misquote

I wish to make a significant clarification to a quotation attributed to me by Rep. Elton Gallegly.
In a recent campaign mailer I was quoted in a manner which appeared to indicate that the Casa Pacifica organization supported Mr. Gallegly’s reelection bid. This is erroneous and misleading. My own personal expression of support should not in any way imply that Casa Pacifica endorsed Congressman Gallegly.
While I am grateful for Congressman Gallegly’s successful efforts in obtaining almost $1 million in federal appropriations for our children’s facility, I am highly disappointed that I was quoted in a way that implicated an organizational endorsement. This is simply not the case.
