American Legion Post No. 397 has honored two Monterey Park police officers for “outstanding service . . . above and beyond the call of duty.”
Officer David Corrigan, 48, an 18-year veteran, received a certificate of commendation for recently solving a drug-related triple murder that occurred in 1988.
Reserve Sgt. David Delinko, 34, was honored for his contributions to the city’s Police Reserve Corps. Delinko, an attorney, volunteers his time to lead the reserve field training program, which involves hundreds of hours of evaluations, record-keeping and training.
