Aerojet Electronic Systems Division of Azusa has been awarded a $2.7-million contract to develop a cryocooler for the U.S. Air Force. The cooler supports a surveillance device for sensing objects in space that are normally too faint to detect.
The division develops and manufactures advanced sensor systems for airborne and space surveillance, defense and environmental programs as well as sophisticated warheads and smart sensors for target-activated munitions.
