CAMARILLO — Human remains found on Conejo Mountain south of Camarillo Springs Road near Camarillo are believed to be those of a man 20 to 30 years old, authorities said Saturday.
No other information was known about the skeletal remains discovered Friday by two hikers, authorities said.
Investigators returned to the site Saturday and recovered more bones and clothing, although they could not find the man’s skull, said Sheriff’s Deputy Lt. Gary Backman. Deputy Coroner Dale Zentzis said investigators believe the man died two to three years ago, but were still investigating the cause of death.
