POSTAL PERK: Even with 300 postal workers eliminated by early retirement packages this year, local post office branches are trying to help you out with your Christmas mail. About 20 branches in the county will be open extra hours on Saturdays through the holiday. . . . And the Yorba Linda office at 4770 Eureka Ave. will be open today and next Sunday between 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Why Yorba Linda? It had the postmaster who volunteered.
