STICKING TOGETHER: Officers at police departments throughout Orange County are wearing black tape over their badges this week as a tribute to slain Garden Grove Police Officer Howard Dallies (B1). The nine-year veteran was shot to death by a fleeing motorcyclist Tuesday. . . . Says Lt. Timm Browne of neighboring Orange Police Department: “Howard Dallies is a part of our extended family and so are his wife, children and parents. There isn’t an officer in this department who isn’t saddened by the loss of a brother.”
