I hope some responsible producers in the entertainment field read Nina Easton’s “The Meaning of America” (Feb. 7) and recognize in it a plea to stop catering to the baser instincts of the human animal. In their positions as image crafters and tastemakers, producers can really make a difference. Don’t they care that many young felons say they have imitated crime techniques seen on TV?
