Homosexuals and the Military

I have an offer for Sam Nunn (“Nunn’s Offer on Military Gays: Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell,” March 30). You can keep your job if you remove all evidence of your sexuality. Take the photos of your wife, your kids, grandkids and family outings off the wall and out of your wallet. Never be seen with any of these people in public and if you absolutely have to be with them, don’t express any type of affection--no kissing, no handholding, no hugging, no touching, nothing. Never mention your wife or kids while on the job or while socializing with people from your work.

Keep your marriage, fatherhood and any other evidence of your sexuality a secret. Don’t tell me about your sexuality and I won’t ask.
