In Control: Firefighters quickly extinguished a fire at Stage 18 on the Sony Pictures lot Friday, and no one was hurt. Don DeMesquita, a spokesman for Sony Pictures Entertainment Corp., said the fire may have been caused by an electrical malfunction beneath the stage. Sets for “Cops and Robbersons,” a TriStar Pictures comedy starring Chevy Chase, were undamaged, and shooting was relocated to another sound stage.
