A man who claimed to have a gun but never revealed it robbed a Home Savings of America branch in Thousand Oaks Monday, authorities said.
The robber, described as a white male, about 45 years old, with a stocky build, curly black beard and black hair, entered the bank at 248 Hampshire Road about 1:35 p.m. and presented a note to a teller demanding money, said Gary Auer, head of the FBI’s Ventura office.
After being given an undisclosed amount of money, the man walked out of the bank and is believed to have fled in a vehicle parked nearby, Auer said. The investigation was continuing.
